Dr. Susan Sanders, Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Susan Sanders, DC, BAT, COHC has been a member of the Port Saint Lucie community since 2009 and has been serving as a Chiropractor for 21 years. She has three children and is a single parent. Her home is in Port St. Lucie with her son and partner of 7 years, Joaquin.
Until recently, Dr. Sanders’ primary focus of care has been in the Personal Injury arena. She has been the sole Chiropractor for over 10 years at several offices in the area. At St. Lucie Chiropractic / Injury and Health she now gets to return to her roots as a Family Chiropractor as well as expand her ability to serve by including multiple certifications in Occupational Health.
- EDUCATION: She graduated Magna cum Laude earning her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University, in 1998. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Kennesaw State University where she graduated with honors, 1991.
- CERTIFICATIONS: Susan Sanders, DC has earned many certifications since passing 4 National Boards: Radiography/X-ray, Applied Kinesiology, and Physiotherapy/PT. She is a Nationally Registered Department of Transportation Medical Examiner (DOT ME# 8754334744) since 2013 and in the past has worked as a Workers Compensation Independent Clinical Reviewer. She is currently working on a double Diplomate which will add DABCI (Diplomate of American Board of Chiropractic Internists) and ACBN (American Clinical Board of Nutrition) to her credentials.
- OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH: Dr. Susan Sanders, DC has obtained BAT credentialing for performing evidentiary breath alcohol testing. She is a credentialed COHC (certified occupational hearing conservationist) and is also certified for PFT (Pulmonary Function Testing). She is trained in Respiratory Fit Testing / respirator fit questionnaire review as a physician in the state of Florida and has obtained CLIA waiver certification for in house laboratory testing for A1c evaluations and more. Dr. Sanders is well versed in performing medical examinations for pre-employment, post-offer examinations, urine drug screening and hair analysis for drug screening, Fit For Duty exams and more to suit the needs of the concrete industry, fire fighters, police, and all local industries with OSHA occupational health needs.
